Lary Fowler Memorial Highland Piper Competition

Join us for the first annual Lary Fowler Memorial Highland Pipe Competition! The competition will be held on April 26, 2025, during the run of Avalon Faire, our medieval festival held in Kilgore, Texas. Lary "Leghorn" Fowler walked the parapet of the front gate for many years piping the opening of the gates every day of the festival. In addition, Lary worked tirelessly helping to build and maintain the infrastructure of our festival grounds. We shall miss him, even as his presence lives on in the music of the highland pipes.
