The Galveston Steampunk Festival has something to offer for all ages including authors, entertainment, live demonstrations, games, vendors, presenters, train rides, and much more!

Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction that incorporates retrofuturistic technology and aesthetics inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.  The extensive history of mechanical innovation displayed at the Galveston Railroad Museum embodies the steampunk spirit. Galveston was built by Victorian industrialists, who used new machines and new fabrication methods to drive economic development.
