Ames Renaissance Faire Event Description

ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE 

 

Join us for the 2nd Ames Renaissance Faire Located at 1400 S 4th st, Ames IA on April 12th and 13th, 2025 from 10am-6pm. 40+ vendors, 3 stages, 2 encampments, food, games and more!

1 day pass is $15 and a 2 day pass is $25 ! Children 5 and under and any previous or current serving veteran or military get in for free!

Parking is limited, For those local to Ames or wanting to park elsewhere, Ames Public Transportation: CYRIDE will be running for the event. Students can ride cyride for free and for non-students it costs $1! The Blue bus will take you to the location past Jack Trice Stadium.

RULES

  • NO GUNS ON GROUNDS

 

  • BIGGER BAGS SUCH AS BACKPACKS WILL BE CHECKED

 

  • ANIMALS ARE WELCOME! MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIME AND UP TO DATE ON SHOTS

 

  • MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS TO CARRY WEAPONS ON GROUNDS

 

  • WEAPONS MAY NOT BE DRAWN, SUBJECT TO REMOVAL.

 

  • SWORDS, DAGGERS, KNIVES MUST BE PEACE-TIED AND SHEATHED

 

  • BOWS MUST BE UNSTRUNG AND ARROWS TIED TO THE QUIVER

 

  • ALCOHOL MAY NOT BE BROUGHT ONTO GROUNDS BUT MAY BE PURCHASED AT THE FAIRE

 

  • SHIRTS AND SHOES ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES

 

  • CHILDREN MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED

 

  • LOST AND FOUND CAN BE LOCATED AT THE FIRST AID TENT, ITEMS LEFT: EMAIL AMESRENFAIRE@GMAIL.COM

 

  • AMES RENAISSANCE FAIRE WILL NOT TOLERATE HARASSMENT OF ANY KIND. IF YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE IS CAUSING ANY ISSUES OF ANY KIND YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE FAIRE.



THE AMES RENAISSANCE FAIRE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INJURY, STOLEN ITEMS, BROKEN ITEMS BOUGHT OR BROUGHT INTO OR LEFT AT THE EVENT.

Q: Do Children get in for free?:
A: Yes! 5 and under have free admission!

Q: Who is doing this? Is this an ISU event?
A: This is the second year of this renaissance faire, being organized by three Iowa State University students (this is not a university/student organized event, just an event!)

Q:How much are tickets? 
A: 1 day passes are $15 and 2 day passes are $25. Previous and current military, veteran, first responders etc get in for free.

Q:Can I apply to be a vendor or performer?
A:Yes! We have performer and vendor registrations open on our website until November 1st!

Q:How can I help?

Q: How many stages will you have?
A: We will have 3 performance areas and separate open area for sword fighting shows!

Q:Will you have wandering players such as Fairies/Fae?
A:Yes we will!

Q: Is there camping on grounds?
A: We are currently unable to offer camping for our faire on grounds this April but plan to do so in the future! However here is a list of nearby locations (camping and hotels) you can stay overnight! :
